Sales Executive Director, Caribbean and Latin America
Since joining the Syniverse Caribbean and Latin America (CALA) sales team, Cecilia has provided expert counsel to mobile service providers throughout the Caribbean. Her dedication to superior customer service ensures these customers receive the expertise and responsiveness necessary to deliver on the promise of mobility. For the second consecutive year, Cecilia earned selection to Syniverse’s President’s Club, the company’s highest employee honor recognizing the year’s top 35 performers from our more than 1,900 employees worldwide. We recently caught up with Cecilia to discuss her life and work at Syniverse.
How has your background influenced your current role?
CECILIA: Prior to joining Syniverse, I participated in the launches of three separate mobile network operators as well as service buildouts, supporting the product, regulatory and business development organizations, which has helped me to truly understand our customers’ perspectives from multiple angles. At Syniverse, I work with mobile operators across more than 30 markets in the Caribbean and am able to offer distinct insight that helps our customers develop effective mobile strategies. I also love to meet new people and have extensive travel experience from both my academic and professional careers, so I am always ready to jump on a plane at a moment’s notice to deliver in-person support to customers across the CALA region.
What do you hear from customers about Syniverse?
CECILIA: The mobile service providers with whom I work continue to describe Syniverse as their trusted advisor in the mobile world. Our consultative approach utilizes our expertise to evaluate customers’ businesses and determine customized solutions that propel long-term success. As a result, Syniverse’s presence with key customers has evolved from minimal to full-service.
What’s the best thing about working at Syniverse?
CECILIA: Syniverse’s important role in the mobile ecosystem affords the opportunity to continuously learn more about the latest advancements in our incredibly dynamic industry. Whether it means further understanding the interworking of our products or the needs of potential customers, I thrive on the desire to know more, and I am fortunate to be supported by a team that is always willing to answer my questions so I can better serve our customers.
How do you spend your time away from the office?
CECILIA: These days, I’m focused on living a more active lifestyle, so I enjoy rowing and yoga in my downtime. Living in Miami, I also love to relax on my balcony with a glass of red wine and watch the sunset and waves below. I think it is important to appreciate the simple things in life.
